Hossein Keshavarz
Hossein Keshavarz’s debut feature, DOG SWEAT, was released to critical acclaim in 2011. NPR called it “astonishingly gutsy” and The New York Times said the film was “engaging, exalted by the particulars of its birth.”

Dog Sweat won Jury Awards at Rome International Film, Austin, Nashville and Little Rock Film Festivals. Keshavarz was nominated for a “Someone to Watch” Film Independent Spirit Award in 2011. He also associate produced the 2011 Sundance Audience Award winner, CIRCUMSTANCE. Keshavarz has taught filmmaking classes at several universities, including NYU and works as an editor for branded content, narrative films and documentaries. 

Maryam Ataei
Maryam Ataei completed her MFA in Theater from Tehran Art University. She wrote and produced the Independent Spirit Award nominee, DOG SWEAT and was an associate producer for the Sundance Audience Award winner, CIRCUMSTANCE.

Maryam also has extensive theater experience, acting in several major productions by renowned directors at Tehran’s main theater, including BEATLES, directed by Shokoofeh Masour. She recently performed in HAMLET directed by Tom Ridgely, at the Sheen Center in New York City.
